A journey through some of Western Australia’s most isolated desert country including the Great Victoria Desert, Gibson Desert & Great Sandy Desert
Throughout this journey we’ll trace some of the pioneering footsteps of Australian desert travel traversing a plethora of remote, outback tracks that criss cross the arid West Australian interior making up what is known as the “Western Deserts”
We’ll travel on tracks created as part of the Rocket Range project by the late Len Beadell, Mineral exploration tracks from many decades ago enjoying a network or remote & entirely offgrid offroad adventure camping.
Along the way, we’ll visit various points of interest such as Ilkurlka for a cultural experience, the Warri & Yatunga Claypans, marvel at the GVD Marble Gums, visit Veevers Meteorite Crater. We will also intersect with early explorer’s trip routes on their pioneering journeys throughout the remote West Australian middle. Many markers from previous expeditions through the desert including Len Beadell’s original markers frequent the tracks so there is always something to look out for.
The remote & expansive desert areas of the Western Australian interior are undoubtedly beautiful & offer the perfect settings for remote bush camping, billion-star skys & spectacular countryside as we cover the magnificent deserts of Western Australia.
Emerging at 80 Mile Beach, after traversing the Nyangumarta Track, we have a night by the coast with dinner provided as we reach the shores of the Indian ocean.
