Our full 15 Day North  – South Adventure offering

This adventure follows the length of the Canning Stock Route, visiting Wells, Rockholes, Soaks & the spectacular countryside found throughout the length of the Canning Stock Route. Spanning a huge distance of the arid inland Western Desert regions including the Great Sandy, Little Sandy, Tanami & Gibson deserts one could easily be mistaken for thinking its all tumbleweeds & cactus. You’ll quickly see the deserts are alive with flora & fauna florishing. Join us on an adventure to remember as we bring the stories alive from the secluded hills and swales of one of the worlds longest 4×4 adventures – around 1800km! Visit ancient rock art & engraving sites,  traverse the towering dunes & 4×4 your way across this unforgettable adventure. We’ve got some amazing camping, night skys & stories that will put a massive tick against your bucket list.

We joined Jed on his June 2023 trip travelling the Canning Stock Route together with 2 other NZ couples. The trip exceeded our expectations. Traversing 3 deserts meant that we saw and experienced landscapes flora and fauna that is unique and like no other. The recent rains resulted in the deserts coming alive with colour and animal life. The night sky without any light pollution is spectacular. We were privileged to have Jed share his knowledge and which brought the story of the stock route to life. Each night he shared readings around the fire which brought the group together and ensured some great conversations. We would recommend Jed to anyone contemplating the Canning. He was able to assist us in organising vehicles and ensured that we had everything needed for us to literally turn up and go. Without his advice and guidance it would have been very difficult for us to have organised this trip from New Zealand. It has meant the fulfilment of a bucket list wish.

I was a part of the 2023 CSR tag-a-long tour with Explore WA 4wd Adventures. What I experienced in the 15 days we spent travelling north to south on the CSR was nothing short of amazing. The scenery was spectacular. The desert was transformed by recent heavy rains throughout the region. The flora was so green and so much of it was in flower which meant the animals were also abundant and thriving. It was a truly remarkable sight. I ended each day mesmerised by everything I had seen.The CSR was a bucket list trip for me and I was not left disappointed. Jed was very knowledgeable on the history of the CSR and his readings around the camp-fire every evening were looked forward to and a great way to end each day.I thoroughly enjoyed my trip and would not hesitate to recommend Explore WA 4WD Adventures to anyone who wants to experience this amazing journey through a beautiful part of the country for themselves.Steve Shiner ( Lurch )
