This adventure is a ” Half trip” leaving from Wiluna & arriving in Newman, Western Australia
Take in the Canning in a condensed format that exposes you to all the elements that make this iconic adventure route famous right across the World.

Departing Wiluna, we will traverse Wells 1A up to Georgia Bore before journeying Westward along Len Beadells track the Talawana

This trip includes Pier Springs, Durba Springs & spectacular desert countryside as we emerge into the dune country typical of the Western deserts from the final pastoral country near Glen-Ayle Station out of Wiluna. This trip encompasses every element of the Canning Stock Route & should not be seen as a lesser trip compared to a full pilgrimage. All relevant permits are supplied for your adventure.

Cost: $3299 Per Vehicle

This trip will include a share night dinner together at Durba Springs.

We joined Jed on his June 2023 trip travelling the Canning Stock Route together with 2 other NZ couples. The trip exceeded our expectations. Traversing 3 deserts meant that we saw and experienced landscapes flora and fauna that is unique and like no other. The recent rains resulted in the deserts coming alive with colour and animal life. The night sky without any light pollution is spectacular. We were privileged to have Jed share his knowledge and which brought the story of the stock route to life. Each night he shared readings around the fire which brought the group together and ensured some great conversations. We would recommend Jed to anyone contemplating the Canning. He was able to assist us in organising vehicles and ensured that we had everything needed for us to literally turn up and go. Without his advice and guidance it would have been very difficult for us to have organised this trip from New Zealand. It has meant the fulfilment of a bucket list wish.

I was a part of the 2023 CSR tag-a-long tour with Explore WA 4wd Adventures. What I experienced in the 15 days we spent travelling north to south on the CSR was nothing short of amazing. The scenery was spectacular. The desert was transformed by recent heavy rains throughout the region. The flora was so green and so much of it was in flower which meant the animals were also abundant and thriving. It was a truly remarkable sight. I ended each day mesmerised by everything I had seen.The CSR was a bucket list trip for me and I was not left disappointed. Jed was very knowledgeable on the history of the CSR and his readings around the camp-fire every evening were looked forward to and a great way to end each day.I thoroughly enjoyed my trip and would not hesitate to recommend Explore WA 4WD Adventures to anyone who wants to experience this amazing journey through a beautiful part of the country for themselves.Steve Shiner ( Lurch )
